Devlin PhotoDr. Michelle Devlin is Instructor of Trombone and the Brass Ensemble coach at High Point University. She is an active performer in the North Carolina Triad area and performed as part of a trombone ensemble at the International Trombone Festival in Nashville, TN.  Dr. Devlin teaches private lessons to middle and high school students and leads sectionals and masterclasses at area schools.  She has been on staff as Trombone Instructor at the UNCG Summer Music Camp since 2004 and Low Brass Instructor at the Virginia Governor's School for the Visual and Performing Arts since 2010.

Dr. Devlin earned the Doctor of Musical Arts and the Master of Music degrees in Trombone Performance from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.  She also holds the Bachelor of Music degree in music industry from James Madison University.  While a student at UNCG, Dr. Devlin served as a Teaching Assistant in the School of Music, teaching graduate and undergraduate trombone lessons.  She was also an active teacher in the Community Music School.  Her teachers include Dr. Randy Kohlenberg, Dr. Andrew Lankford, and Ms. Jeannie Little.
